Your campaign looks badass, dude. I’m not fluent in moon-speak or eladrin or whatever that language is, but I can appreciate great layout and awesome artwork.

I actually paid for a couple of images because I wanted to use them for my game, and the authors were selling them.

I don’t feel you stole them or anything, don’t worry, after all internet is a very greyish place in that matter, some things are allowed, some things aren’t, and some things are just weird…

I’m sorry you feel I stole images from your campaign. But in general, I just googled the NPC’s name, and what came up from the search engine is the image I used. The only images that actually came from your site, and not a 2nd party site, was the Douven Staul image, and the Agrid Image.
Most of the other images we share are from the Wizards PDF, or from people that either use the same images that you did / found from your site.
It’s kind of a pain in the rear, but as long as your not using the images for profit, than you paying for the artwork is unnecessary. You don’t need permission or the copyrights to use them. To prevent this in the future, you may want to make your campaign private using your ascendant membership.

Thanks Dyluth, I just wanted to include a little bit of history about RPGs in general for my players, I think most of them aren’t familiar with the dark ages of D&D during the 80s.

Sandman, that was a very well written response to what was a very difficult era for RPG’s and gamers alike. Well put indeed.

Well put. And nicely formatted as well.

On May 09, 2010 at 02:57 AM sandman said:

Sure Arsheesh, no problem. It would be something like this:

Final Conclusion
Obviously, as it’s written in lots of books and rpg manuals, fantasy and real life must be considered as separate things, but even in the case of individuals that don’t make that distinction, role-playing games shouldn’t be blamed. It should be remembered that some videogames simulate war with maximum detail, vandalism, and other crimes, but that’s not a reason to take them as threats. Role-playing games, as much as chess that represents confrontation between two forces in a battlefield, should be taken with respect, interest, entusiasm, and knowledge about the subject. The reality is that criminals, or dangerous people, can be found in any social scope, be it in games or in society. Blaming crimes on role-playing games isn’t an excuse to set aside the problems that really pertain to this society.

I created the entire FAQ section to be able to explain to my non-rpg friends what RPGs really are. I also wanted to give it an interesting look so that anyone who reads it doesn’t get bored quickly xD

Sandman, I can tell what your “controversias” page is just by the images alone, and I’d be curious to read your take on the D&D phobia phenomenon that occurred in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Since I can’t however, can you briefly summarize your “conclusion final” for me?

I don’t mind arsheesh, in fact I used one of ChainsawXIV’s templates and modified it for what I wanted to do. He uploaded the one I used in his Template and Tools page.

Here’s a direct link to the code I used: Weapons Table

Sandman, that armas page is wicked cool! I am really impressed man. In fact, I’ve got some regional arms and armor for my AL campaign that I’ve been meaning to upload, but didn’t know how to format. You mind if I borrow from you (that is, when I get around to uploading the information)?

Cheers,
