Ship Recognition Guide

The list of the main ship types in use in the Empire, as well as specific ships of note. It also explains the Imperial Ship naming system.

Imperial Ship Naming

Any citizen of the Empire that owns or operates a ship must register their ship with the Imperial Ship Registry and the Imperial Customs office. The Imperial Ship Registry records ship names and assigns an Imperial Registry Number.

Imperial Registry Number

The Imperial Ship Registry assigns Imperial Registry Number based on ship type. The three letter designation is based on whether the ship is owned by and indvidual or owned by the Empire.

ERS Empire Registered Ship- The designation for all ships not owned by the Empire.
HMS His Majesty’s Ship- The designation for all ships not owned by the Empire.

General Ship Types

Standard Cargo: The standard cargo ship used to move cargo from the surface or between planets.
