AN ARTICLE DETAILING THE PRESCRIBED METHOD OF GENERATING ADEPTA SORORITAS CHARACTERS FOR USE IN A “WARHAMMER 40,000 ROLEPLAY – DARK MILLENNIUM (JERICHO REACH) LIVING CAMPAIGN.”

Dark Heresy Characters in a Jericho Reach Sector-Campaign
This Article is a supplement to CHAPTER APPROVED 4, dealing with the handling of Battle Sisters as introduced to the Jericho Reach sector-campaign. The approach to character generation shall be very much the same as stated in CA4, with the according notable additions as follows:

Character Generation Resources. – The following publications are the identified materials available for use as reference(s) in Battle Sister player character generation:
a. Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay – Dark Heresy Core Rulebook (DH01)
b. Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay – Dark Heresy: The Inquisitor’s Handbook (DH04)
c. Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay – Dark Heresy: Blood of Martyrs (DH12).
d. Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay – Dark Heresy: Heresy Begets Retribution (DHP4).
A certain amount of discretion must be taken when utilizing materials that are available for the generation of the other Dark Heresy archetypes. Note that some of the Dark Heresy rules do not apply, or more accurately, are not appropriate to the Adepta Sororitas.

Paths of the Righteous
As stated in the Blood of Martyrs book: “there are no true branches to this career.” Players have the option of creating an adepta sororitas character based upon the Inquisitor’s Handbook or from the Blood of Martyrs book (one or the other), with the condition that players wishing to use any one of the Alternate Starting Ranks should do so at Rank One (“first steps” character creation), or the option is lost. Once the character achieves Rank Two, she returns to the appropriate career for advancement.

Sororitas sisters has access to any of the Ascended Careers and Transition Packages – some particularly appropriate ones include: Mind Repurposed, Cleansed and Purified, and Sole Survivor.

Adepta Sororitas are not required to ascend to the rank of Palatine (q.v.).

Characters from Non-militant Orders are treated as Adepts and Clerics for all purposes, but have specialized skills and alternative career ranks available to them as they progress.

Bride of the God-Emperor. Adepta Sororitas-Player Characters are not just mundane troopers, or merely one of amongst many; they are one’s that are expected to become individuals of renown. To reflect this intent the following applies to Battle sister characters:
a. Defenders of the Ecclesiarchy. – Sisters in the Jericho Reach sector-campaign (especially when accompanying Deathwatch Space Marines in a mission) ALWAYS have access to heavy weapons or best quality weapons early in their career than is the norm for typically generated Battle Sisters following the standard rules. Furthermore, the Battle Sister (in this campaign) also carries an additional weapon that was not requisitioned but is instead a kept memento from previous deeds or from lost comrades. Disclosure for GMs approval is necessary!
b. Ecclesiarchy’s Finest. – Adepta Sororitas characters (within this campaign) begin with 14,000 xp (500 bonus xp inclusive) to be spent on advances according to the selected Career Path. Follow guidelines as presented in CHAPTER APPROVED 4, utilizing the “Top-Down” approach in character generation
c. Favoured of the God-Emperor. – Adepta Sororitas-Player Characters start a number of Fate Points equal to the maximum possible of five (5). As if having rolled a ten in a 1d10, when determining Fate.

Pre-Generated Ascension Palatines
As an option, players who simply wish to begin playing an ascended character (beginning at Rank 9) taking the role of a Palatine (q.v.), may elect to use the method described in the Heresy Begets Retribution supplement (DHP4). Note that a Transition Package has not yet been selected while adopting this character generation method.

Rules-As-Written
All other terms and conditions in generating a Sororitas sister character shall remain the same as prescribed in the according Dark Heresy line of books, to be followed as it is written (RAW) therein.

Separability Clause. – If any provisions of this Article shall at any time be found to be invalid, the remainder thereof not affected by such declaration shall remain in full force and effect.

Repealing Clause. – All conditions, terms, regulations and/or rules inconsistent with the provisions of this Article are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
