The Mages Guild is a world-wide organisation that includes approx 90% of the World’s mages in it’s ranks. Mages not in the Guild are usually regarded by it’s members as crackpots at best and dangerous renegades at worst.
Each major city has a guild-hall and an council headed by an arch-mage from each path. There is then the lesser council of 11 mages below them and then the general body, being the remaining members of that guild hall.
