Once upon a time in an apartment in downtown Leominster…

Back in 2000, the Twin Worlds were born. It arrived soon after the launch of Wizard’s of the Coast’s new version of Dungeons and Dragons. I was running a bi-monthly game set in the Greyhawk setting for several close friends when I decided to run a smaller, more regularly played game. Not happy with Greyhawk, and feeling like “it had all been done before”, I created the twin worlds of Sujan and Crelfet. These two worlds were linked with each other through 7 gates (actually 8 gates, but that 8th gate was the focus of a later game). This world spawned a score of heroes who rose to fight the great evils in their time.

The first group: Keldinar’s Angels

The heroes from the first campaign, referred to as “Twin Worlds Classic” or “Keldinar’s Angels”, were your average bunch of do-gooders. Or maybe not; a former 2nd Story man turned Cleric, a merciless killer, a cursed tiefling sniper, a halfling weretiger, a gladiator, and a half-dragon druid. All the men were rogues. All the women were powerhouses. It was grand. They did things for the local lord, the benevolent Lord Zeth. The game lasted about four years, and brought the characters to 14th or 15th level by the end.

The adventures in the “Classic” game were pretty episodic. There were plotlines that carried over from one to the next, but for the most part every story was contained to 2-4 3 hour gaming sessions, ran every week or every other week.
