Deadlands Reloaded: The Weird West

This is one of the many mesa towns found in The Great Maze. Carver’s Landing is located approximately five miles from Lost Angels via the South Channel and reachable by boat. Lost Angels operates a ferry service back and forth at two-bits ($0.25) for a more interesting trip (have weapons out, and be ready to swim) to $10.00 for the fully guarded more comfortable trip with whiskey and d’oeuvers service.

The town has done well over the years and is composed of a mixture of miners and merchants as its citizens. The mesa is all played out of ghost rock leaving the merchant with a slight majority of population. This hasn’t affected the mining town character of Carver’s Landing though. It continues to be a place for miner’s to spend their worked cash.

Places of Note

Carver’s Landing Assayers Office: Run by The Greater Maze Rock Miner’s Association a.k.a. The Rockies this is the only legitimate place to trade ghost rock and ghost rock ore in the town. The Church of Lost Angels permits this so long as donations in Carver’s Landing are met.

Carver’s Clothiers: This is the first and largest clothing shop in the town where a cowpoke dress themselves in the latest Paris fashions if they have the desire and the coin. The tailor shop also has more reasonable priced fashions as well.

Eight Ball Billiards Hall: The eighth and newest saloon to open up in Carver’s Landing this is the place for anyone who is curious on the goings on in the area.

G.M.G.M. (Great Maze Gun Merchants): This is a small but strong shack cut partly into the rock of the mesa like a bunker. The place is a bit cheaper than most for weapons by making up the difference in ammo. They also buy, “guns that were never used and only dropped once.” with few questions.

The Groaning Man Saloon: Named after the famous Maze cave this saloon likes to serves powerfully strong drinks that, “Will leave a cowpoke groanin’ in the morning.” This is one of the newer saloon in Carver’s Landing opening only a few years ago.
Persons of Note:
Bertram Forder, Owner/Operator, he used to be a treasure hunter but was badly burned trying to find the treasure in Groaning Man Cave. He gave up the life and opened the saloon saying that’s where the real treasure can be found in California.
