December 11, 2012 18:01
Any player that posts their character’s recent actions, accomplishments, and interactions will receive 10% of the XP they need for the next level at the beginning of the next session. Rewards will also be given for updating character profiles, adding NPC’s, and posting items.

Yes, off and on.

I think that such ‘bribery’ will be a common tactic among OP GM’s so as to increase player participation. I use a system where Session Re-caps are worth a max of 10% of the XP needed for next Level.
At 1st Level, this is a max of 100 XP (10% of 1,000 =100).
Assuming an average of 4 sessions per Level, re-caps are approximately 0-25 XP each. Enough of a carrot that they’re worth doing but not so much that they’re over balancing.
As the party advances, the XP needed for leveling increases so the amount for re-caps increases accordingly, yet stays within the pre-set percentage (10%) that I’ve decided was fair & reasonable.

Excellent idea, which I fully intend to steal it. I’ll dutifully cite my sources though.
