The Player Characters are:
Viscount Ursula Mannpurtz – a towering woman from the icy reaches of the Nord, she traveled south in search of a suitable husband. Now married, she is striving to set up her new lands in good stead and help stabilize the kingdom in the aftermath of the death of Duke Reece Murra of Blackwash.
Maurissen Blacktooth – A Medusa sage and dilettante with ties to the Troll kingdoms, her only constant goal is to ensure her name is remembered. She is served by a kobold valet named Sarth Grimjaw.
Terasian Goldbraid, also called Elren Goodsoul, Gammaron Lightheart, and Liltren Whisperwhirl – a con artist from the elven nation of New Andar, he seeks enduring wealth.
Reynard Mallefoot – a doppelganger wearing the stolen identity of a wealthy halfling noble, he works to amass greater wealth and influence for his own benefit. After arousing too much suspicion within his stolen family, he robbed them one last time and fled. He has not been seen (in that identity) since.
Liam Rothspear – a researcher at the University of the Archmage in Blackwash, he’s been hired by the Earl to help unravel the actions of the Duke of Blackwash. With the Duke now deceased, his contract to Stavron Murra is at an end.
Botis Semiazas – the imp familiar of Earl Stavron Murra, Botis assists his master as valet while in his human form.
Jeffrey Murra – the bastard son of Earl Stavron Murra by an elven woman, Jeffrey has been promised recognition and a share of the family fortune if he helps his father uncover the plot by the Duke of Blackwash.
Skarth of Gristuk – Orcish leader of a famed band of mercenaries, Skarth is a warrior of great renown. He’s come to Pact in the service of Prince Karrel Gristuk, and is now stationed there to guard against the coming Pit’Hai.
Karl – a priest of the Protector, Karl gave up his family name when he pledged to guard the innocent from all oppression. His methods are sometimes questionable, but he enjoys moderate success.
Valen Tydrom – the youngest son of a minor eastern lord, Valen joined a merchant association against his father’s wishes. He represents them and offers his services brokering trade arrangements.
