Malignant Motorcycle Mayhem (Pt. 3)

October 30, 2011 12:00
After a night of preparation, the heroes set out to assault the lair of a demon of the Nevernever (a cancer demon no less). The creature is nearly finished with a grand thaumaturgical ritual that will unlock the Shadesphere – an artifact of ancient and terrible power. Everything from the past week all comes down to this simple Sunday morning.

So, after a pancake breakfast that Jaime cooked; Elena and Conor both set out to provide recon and intel on the headquarters of the Steel Knight Motorcycle Club in Grapevine. Elena recons the physical world, Conor checks out the Nevernever. The backyard garage facility is a nightmare of wards and dark energy.

Conor assists the heroes through the Nevernever and into the house. Jaime, Elena, Matthew and Ren come along, ready for battle. While preparing to remove the sentry from the situation, they instead … well … have a chat. Conor and Matthew convinces the guys in the house that maybe now would be a good time to go and grab some sodas or something from the nearest convenience store… or maybe go to church. It is Sunday after all. They leave in a cloud of dust and exhaust… eager to get away from this house of wierd energy and “bad stuff.”

Then… the assault on the backyard garage. Jaime dismantles the wards in spectacular pyrotechnics and under a veil of Glamour erected by both Conor and Ren, they enter the facility.

Then came battle.

When it was concluded, the demon’s spell was thwarted, the witch that had brought on all the pain and suffering was dead, and several of the young women who had been kidnapped were rescued. The Shadesphere was bundled off to be returned to the vaults of the White Council. All in all, a good day’s work.

Malignant Motorcycle Mayhem
By AJ Vance

On Sunday, November 6th 2011 police in Grapevine, TX received a call from a woman who was dazed and dropped the phone seconds after calling. When the police arrived at the address the call was tracked to they found a scene that validates what I have been saying for years.

Inside of the garage for a motorcycle gang called the Steel Knights, cops found seven woman strapped down to beds receiving IV fluids, blood everywhere and one of the members of the gang, Anson Tyler, who had been beaten to within an inch of his life. As those crazy right wing hicks in Texas all go to church and it was Sunday no one saw how this happened.

What is interesting is that all seven of these woman when taken to the hospital for observation were found to have cancer. Then all seven women’s cancer disappeared within twenty four hours of being taken to the hospital. A further “coincidence” is that the leader of the motorcycle gang who owned this garage, Joey “JT” Tyler (bikers are soooooooooo original with their names), was also in the same hospital with cancer at the time. And guess what, his cancer disappeared too.

There are several loose ends in this case that were never resolved before the Grapevine Police closed the case. Who had kicked the crap out of Anson Tyler, a crappy former minor league base ball player and nephew of Joey Tyler? Cops pinned all of the kidnappings on him and he could not very well defend himself. You see he had a “concussion” and could not remember anything that had happened for the last day. Another biker in the club, Dan Mayne, later came forward to the police and claimed that he had found out what was going on, beat Anson and then left. Not even these idiot local cops bought that story, but they closed the case anyway. They just like simple justice and care nothing for the truth. Some biker gang members go to jail, Anson (who can barely talk or think at this point) is put in the looney bin and nothing more to see here folks.

All of these details are left for us to think about as a distraction. The questions is how did all of these people just stopping have cancer? It is obvious to anyone with a brain that my theory has been right all along. The government is weaponized cancer and this was an experiment that got discovered so they created this screwy crime scene that makes no sense and then the locals just covered it up. Within ten years the fascist US government will use this super cancer that they control on Iran so that the Iranians “do not get nuclear weapons”, which is a total cover so they don’t find out what really caused 9/11. And that my friends, is really what happened Sunday, November 6th 2011 police in Grapevine, TX.

  • Game date: 11/30/2011
  • From Rahal the GM
    • As Wolfhound stated in his interview with Obsidian Portal, this adventure was inspired by Sons of Anarchy. Thanks to Kurt Sutter for creating one of the best TV shows ever.
    • Random Fact: Kim Coates, who plays the mentally disturbed Alex ‘Tig’ Trager on Sons of Anarchy, also played the Hellion Sirota on The Dresden Files. I did not know this when I originally wrote this adventure.
    • The Shadesphere was inspired by The Doombox which appear in the Birds of a Feather episode of The Dresden Files. This artifact was added to the game to get Ren involved in the plot.
  • Misc
    • Several of the players expressed a desire to describe the final battle from their various points of view in their own postgame webisodes. That is why specific details on this page are sparse.
      • Should they forget, I’ll come back and flesh out the battle portion in the above quick summary.
    • Everybody drained their Fate Point accounts in the climax (Elena and Conor have 1 benny for the postgame writeups for the Side Job but that didn’t apply to this scenario anyway)
    • This was a Significant Milestone
      • The first for Matthew and Ren
      • The third for Conor, Elena, and Jaime (we’re not counting the Side Job) thus it’s upgraded to a Major Milestone for them.
