Supernatural Powers

Supernatural Powers are abilities bestowed by the Outsider.

Blink

Blink is a supernatural power granted by the Outsider. With this, the Gifted gains the ability to traverse midsized distances in an instant, without being detected.

Dark Vision

As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, the Gifted may posses the supernatural ability to improve his eyesight, allowing him to spot enemies and alert him to the noises he makes, dubbed Dark Vision. Footsteps and other noise originating from him (like dropping items) will be visible as well. Despite being a powerful ability, the range of detection is short, and can actually hinder the Gifted’s ability to be aware of danger in large, open areas.

Devouring Swarm

As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, the Gifted can acquire the supernatural ability to summon forth a swarm of ravenous rats from the Void as a means of offense, dubbed Devouring Swarm. Rats summoned by the Gifted do not fall under his control, although he can possess any one of them if he chooses. As they have a mind of their own, they may attack any anyone, disposing of them in an “especially grisly manner.” They will completely consume the bodies of victims if given enough time, as would any swarm of naturally occurring rats.

It proves extremely useful when the Gifted is not concerned with being non-lethal, but wishes to remain unseen. From a high point or hiding spot, the Gifted can dispatch hostiles or remove corpses by calling the rats.

Possession

As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, the Gifted may possess the supernatural ability to merge his body corporeally with creatures, allowing him to bypass guard patrols and travel unharmed through walls of light, dubbed Possession. The amount of time the Gifted can possess a creature depends on what it is, spanning from fish to people, and if his host dies, so does the Gifted. The Gifted can possess creatures from certain distances, teleporting “into” his target upon the power’s activation. However, if there are obstacles between the Gifted and his target, the possession will not occur. After possession ends, depending on what was possessed, the Gifted will reappear behind his target, over them, or underneath.

Bend Time

As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, the Gifted can acquire the supernatural ability to slow time completely, allowing him to set up special suicide assassinations or simply make a quick escape, dubbed Bend Time.

Windblast

Windblast is a supernatural ability that creates gusts of wind and can be used as an offensive attack to damage or knock enemies off their feet. This ability can be used a number of ways, from smashing doors to pushing an enemy off a roof, so that he plummets to his death.

Vitality

As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, the Gifted may possess the supernatural ability to regenerate his health, dubbed Vitality.

Blood Thirsty

As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, the Gifted may possess the supernatural ability to brutally kill his enemies with the help of adrenaline rushes, dubbed Blood Thirsty.

Agility

As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, the Gifted may possess the supernatural ability to improve his speed and reflexes, dubbed Agility.

Shadow Kill

As a result of the mark bestowed upon him by the Outsider, the Gifted may possess the supernatural ability to turn his enemies to ash when he kills them, eliminating the need to hide bodies, dubbed Shadow Kill.
