Brän Day 2 and the Story So Far...

Donavin: What do you mean we don’t have a blog? Isn’t that what all the neat-o kids these days do? I’m sorely disappointed, tsk tsk. Oh well. Let’s get this thing-a-movin’! (Also, feel free to edit this for accuracy! I’ll teach you how to use this nifty mind-pen-a-ma-bob)

The Beginning:

So the adventure starts out like this: We all stumble into town, Rin getting attacked by bandits, Freya and Kirim bickering their way in, Cinderella just working there, and I come hobbling in. Through some mishapen way or form we all end up meeting each other in the Bro-I-mean-Lost Spade. Freya goes out to heal the worlds of all its pain, while Cinderella works, and I get drunk. Along the way Rin Kirim (I know no one’s too fond of him but really you could at least try and remember his name) and Freya get attacked, but being awesome, they dispose of their assailants easily. Night arrives and we all meet and sleep.

Day 2:

And it would be a nice bit of sleep if the bells didn’t start ringing after a low rumble through the ground. Let me just say: Stirges, stirges EVERYWHERE. Freya, Cinderella, Rin, and Kirim leap into battle. I sort of flop into it after it’s done. We all jump into the cave where they are coming from and find a Deagon Rockbiter, more stirges, and the site of the explosion that rocked the land and woke the Stirges. There was a commotion outside and there in the air was the Queen Stirge. We kicked her ass. Boo-ya.

We also investigated the Stirge Nest better, I scored their poop in a jar, and fiddled around town trying to get a better understanding of what the hell woke us up. Freya did some fancy finger-work and took the Foreman’s (Arven Rockhide) journal. Some strange flamebouent wizard, Orzanzzio, sold Kirim a magical amulet that allows him to change visible form and left in a poof that smelled almost of potpourri, flowers, and rainbows. I don’t trust him. After that it was just going about, taking care of business, buying and selling equipment, getting to know the local color, food, and sleep.

Don’t forget that run-in with Darien Gorden, that guardsmen who was chasing that one dwarf who stole that gold necklace (the punishment was a little rough for such a petty crime…). After a heated conversation with him, Freya, Kirim, and Rin agreed to help him find the secret base of the Iron Fist that Darien believes is somewhere in Bran. He told them to meet him at the “Golden Lodestone Hostel and Bar” in High Crater whenever they find any information on its location.
