I awoke today to the sound of a ringing bell. With my vision fresh in my mind I readied myself as quickly as possible. To’loak pointed me in the direction of mines for which he said the bell rang. Kirim joined me and together we made our way to pest outside the mine sucking the blood from guards who so desperately tired to fight them off. The battle was quick and by the end there was still one guard standing.

I made my way over to Cinder to heal her burns and wounds. The mercenary from the other day offered me a gold. I won’t say no to money. Donavin appeared at some point while I was lining up the bodies of the fallen men. I ended up giving them a proper sending. I am upset with myself for slipping up like that. I know better.

The guard informed us that there were several more entrances suffer from this plague but this one had recently had a collapse further inside. With that said I followed Cinder into the mine. As we entered the first thing I noticed were two more bodies to add to the count. There were more of those things which we fought of fairly easily. At some point there was a set of twins. I didn’t pay them any mind as I was more concerned with bandaging up Cinder. My wrap broke which was unusual.

The group journey further in to find a dog, whose named seems to be Copper, surrounded by those pest. I was shocked during the battle when Donavin cast a spell that put the beast into the line of of fire. It was unharmed but it concerns me to think if I were in the way of said magic. The buzzing grew louder as we entered the room which held the nest. We were greeted by a large swarm of the pest. Donavin cast some spell that not only killed six of the insects instantly but seemed to affect the area they had been in. I must take note to be cautious around him.

Upon approaching the nest I realized that some sort of explosive, most like dynamite, had been used to cause the hole in the wall. I suspect the aftershock of the explosion caused the collapse reported. I’m sure this is linked to the vision I had last night.

With nothing else to see the group and I left the cavern. As we walked out into the opening we were bombarded by the guard from the other day and a dwarf fighting loudly. I approached them to break up such ill timed bickering when the twins from before ran out from one of the mine entrances yelling. Behind them the queen entered the scene. Immediately I attacked her and the mercenary followed in kind. She hit me and then turned her sights to Rin. She and her minions ganged up on him so quickly I was sure he was going to fall.
