Plot Overview:

• Through some investigation and using contacts in the Royal Sword he made his first day Fayde & Scathe discover that Ahziz has been taken prisoner when he tried to enter the city a couple weeks ago.
• They send a message to him through one of Jacob’s Guards that they will get it sorted out and that they and Alex misses him.
• They head back to the Colour Animal Inn to find Cid talking with a pale half-elf at one of the tables who Fayde recognizes as Akana.
• While in the Inn they check the local new board. They see that there has been trouble on the new road being built up to WinterHaven and decide to go check it out.
• On their way out of town they meet up with Young Franklin. Franklin is enamoured with Cid. He considers Cid his new hero.
• They head out of town and convince Franklin to stay behind and watch the gate for anyone following them.
• Less than half a day hard ride they get to the camp site of the bridge and road crew. The camp is deserted. The bridge is destroyed and the rubble is strewn UP stream.
• Cid discovers footprints and he and Fayde realize they belong to Troll(s)
