Raven
History
Ravens are augmented mobile weapons platforms. A response to the ever-growing demand for a single operator weapons unit that could operate effectively in high or low atmosphere, a Raven represents a traditional large scale suit of combat armour that can be modularly outfitted for a variety of sorties.
Design
Ravens tend to exhibit standard characteristics, they are generally between 20 and 50 metres in height and about 5 to 25 metres from shoulder to shoulder. The most common variants represent bipedal humans, though a wide range of legs from quadruped to tank designs are also available. They often have two arms, as an extension of an operators own and a visible head unit which often houses the electronics package. The pilot themselves is usually situated in the chest cavity behind the thickest armor.
Ravens host a complicated set of thrusters and fuel reaction engines for mobility, and the pilot, controlling from within a hybrid light and biogenic solution suspension is directly fed tactical information. The best Raven pilots tend to be augmented with Implants to better control their units.
Ravens boast a number of hardpoints, and design of individual Ravens tend to be up to their pilots, engineers and mechanics. Depending on the mission classification, they can be outfitted with heavy arms, missiles, torpedo packages, rockets, or short range laser units.
