There is another world, a world like our own. In this world there are seven continents. Two thirds of the world is covered by water. Men, animals, and plants populate the world. Men have built cities and nations, and have warred. There is a United States, and it is on the precipice of victory in its Cold War with the beleaguered remnants of the USSR. Yes, this world is like ours, save for one horrifying detail:

The stories of things that go bump in the night are true.

This world is The World of Darkness. You were born into it, and the only way out is in your own grave.
