[Over the two weeks, the group rides through Yadvin’s Expanse, Breland’s vast country plain. It is spring, but the land looks withered and ill. They ride pass several farms and see malnourished livestock, failed crops and blight.]

[On the fifteentth day, the group witnesses another Syberis shard fall from the sky. Later that same evening, while the party sleeps, Morthos is visited by a eerie vision. He sees the shadow of a female tiefling and goes to investigate. He is shocked to see that tiefling looks nearly identical to his long dead mother. She introduces herself as Sraosha, his mother’s name. She also calls herself the Seeker of Ruin. He greets her wearily. They discuss many things, but Morthos learns she is not happy that he has abandoned his proud tiefling heritage. She is deeply disturbed by his transformation into a Revenant. After their brief conversation she disappears.]

Evening

[Several more days pass and the group finally reaches the King’s Forest Orien Caravan route. It is the central roadway to Sharn. It is late but the group decides to press on for a few more hours. A heavy rain begins to fall and the mud on the road is thick. In the distance, the party sees a lone figure pushing a wooden cart down the roard towards Sharn. Morthos rides to get a closer look and sees that the figure is a malformed dwarf. His cart is corpse cart.]

[ “I smell the scent of the Keeper.” he eerily whispers and looks to Morthos. Morthos has a disturbing conversation with the dwarf. His name is Malys, the Foul. After listening what Malys has to say, Morthos returns back to the group. They watch the dwarf disappear, but his cart remains, slowly rolling down the road toward Sharn.]

Afternoon

[The party arrives in the trade town of First Tower during the hustle and bustle of a large trade faire. Merchants are eager to sell their wares. Times are hard these days, and the people of Breland need all the coin they can get. As the party wades through the crowd, Morthos is met by another dwarf. His name is Vestra the Shrewd. Vestra speaks to Morthos in Cant and urges him to find his old greedy self. Times are hard. It is important for Morthos to see that he stays Master of his Hoard.]
