Taveah and Kohl return to Korranberg and stay at the Inn Between, a comfortable tavern close to the hustle and bustle of the gnomish markets. It is hard to believe that it has only been a week since they each defeated Khurystas at the Orrery of Vortuum and teleported back to Zilargo via Miklos’ linked portal ritual. It honestly feels like a lifetime ago. Caiphys and Sejik left Korranberg shortly on their return and presumably went back to Sharn. They left no word as to where they were headed. Miklos, true to his word, remained in town close to his family. However, he has been extremely busy of late and virtually impossible to get a hold of. They try hard not to think back on Morthos, the image of his gruesome death at the hands of shadowy Abyssal creatures is hard to shake. Since then things have been calm and peaceful.
Kohl has been in contact with his tailor, Garwyn, in Lhazaar regarding his Kael cloth reproductions. Using the techniques he provided him, he is on the verge of weaving the magics of Aundairian Cleansing Stones with cloth to fashion what he has coined “slick weave”. He hopes to send a sample to him in Korranberg within the next couple weeks.
Kohl sends word to Priestess Selannah of his return. She informs him she is in the process of securing a more permanent lodging in Sharn for them and hopes to have arrangements for their arrival in the next couple days.
In the morning, during Kohl’s daily sermon, Taveah spots an orcish warrior clad in sterling plate bearing the symbol of Thrane’s beloved Silver Flame. He stands alone under a nearby tree carefully listening to her cousin’s speech about the dangers of the aberrations of the Far Realms. He makes eye contact with her and gestures her over.
