King Thalin, the first ruler of Thrane and a devout follower of the Silver Flame, broke with tradition in allowing his elder sister Mishann to ascend the throne, instead claiming that he had divine right to become the new king of Galifar.

Thrane remained a monarchy until 914 YK when it became a theocracy governed by the Church of the Silver Flame.
