Eclipse Phase

I am really hoping that Matt Damon’s ELYSIUM coming in August will not be a terrible disappointment. It clearly has some great ECLIPSE PHASE themes as well with the division of poverty and wealth, amazing health and regeneration technologies and of course, a full depiction of a working torus colony! Not to mention powered exoskeletons. I really look forward to a cinematic E.P. experience.

I am looking forward to Will Smith’s AFTER EARTH at the end of the month for good ECLIPSE PHASE-style visuals as well. It could be a good movie or it could be a flop but at least from the trailers, it LOOKS like it will be visually inspiring.

Holy SHIT! Tom Cruise’s OBLIVION is an ECLIPSE PHASE movie if EVER I saw one. The drones in the film closely resemble images of the Reaper Synthmorph, it’s themes of cloning and an Earth devastated with mankind forced to relocate to Titan are baselline E.P. tropes. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it.

Thanks, Sentinels, for another session of sassy berating (Collette), de-facto terrorism and black bag smuggling (Stinky 6) and high-dollar vacsuit theft. Those other schmucks don’t know what they missed!

Many many sincere thanks to Omar Amador for creating the ongoing summaries of the campaign sessions. I hope he forgives my occasional edits of them to bring them into line with my story. He is an awesome sport about forgiving my inability to remember names and specifics after I have originally presented the material. We’re lucky to have you, Omar!

This Saturday’s game for 11-24-12 will be cancelled due to the Thanksgiving holiday. I must entertain and host relatives from my wife’s family and cannot get away long enough to run our usual session. I apologize for the lame-ness.

I would like to begin play around the beginning of October 2012 if I can assemble a team of 4 to 6 players who are available to meet weekly by that time.
