Patient Zero—Tseng Sueh-yen
Initial Incident: Patient Zero initially suspected of the murder of Robert Holland. A luxury bike carrying the two individuals crashed in one of the nicer parts of Progress. Evidence indicated that the crash did minimal physical damage to Holland and Patient Zero. Forensic examination indicated the cause of death was blunt force trauma with defensive wounds indicating that the victim was beaten to death. A blood trail indicated that Patient Zero then entered The Yards, with initial indications being that he was moving toward a black market resleeving facility.

Hacking into the station cleaner swarms permitted the prelimary analysis of patient zero’s blood, with preliminary analysis indicating the presence of the psychotropic drug fuckidol, and an unknown xenobiological contaminant. Pursuit of Patient Zero commenced. He killed one adult male in a splicer morph and severely wounded a young girl who required stabilization. Pathogen appears to induce aggression, no motive for killings is as yet forthcoming.

When the subject was found, he was stunned. After being disabled, his cortical stack was taken in the hope that the information contained inside might prove probitive. A sample of the spinal cord and other tissues were taken for analysis.

Back in the lab, the samples were sustained in a nutrient solution. In an effort to determine its physiological effect, it was probed using visible light by way of nanoscopic vision, electrical sense and electrodes were used to probe the skin and nervous system for signal transduction. Upon exposure to visible light upon the skin, the foreign cells sent signals down the nerve fibers, indicating that it reacts to light and may or may not be engineered.

Cells isolated from blood and put into culture. Future analysis will include chemical analysis of cell cultures to determine biochemical makeup, analysis of genetic information storage material, In Vitro culturing upon Mouse skin and nervous tissue cultures, In Vivo experiments in mice to elucidate whether specific signals can induce specific behaviors or if violent reactions are generalized toward any light exposure.
