The Gathering Place sits at the northern terminus of the Great Trading Path, which heads south into the mountains of Georgia. There, they speak the trade jargon of the region, a Siouan language, but their power has diminished in recent years during a long, guerrilla war with the Dogsbane People, who press primarily on their allies, like the Copper People.
