Notable for its high proportion of half-elves, the Imperial Rangers are an elite unit of scouts, pathfinders, mountaineers, and experts in fieldcraft of all kinds. They are trained to be highly independent and resourceful skirmishers, and usually stealthily work alongside the Legions and knightly orders during conflicts.

In peacetime, the Imperial Rangers can occasionally be seen in the farther reaches of the Empire and along its marches, patrolling the wilderness, watching the borders, and hunting down monsters and outlaws. In such a role they are rarely found in groups of more than a dozen, spread thinly across the Empire’s vast territories.
