Our original campaign consisted of a group of doomed warriors, setting out to aid a band of merchants crossing the desert. As they travelled, their companions began to be abducted, and a search began for the missing gaurds of the caravan. Astandi, the leader of the caravan, leads the characters to a cave in which the demonically altered gaurds promptly attacked the party. The adventurers battled their way to the bottom of the the cave, where a warlock was completing a summoning ritual. Upon killing the spellweaver, a great demon avatar appeared, heralding an uprising of the demonic cult of (something or other). Upon death, the avatar exploded, killing all but a few of the party…
