All Artifice devices require Power Points to function. Artifice devices come in two varieties, those that are capable of storing their own Power Points, and those that aren’t which must be powered by the user. Using a Artifice item is otherwise similar to using a similar mundane item (i.e. firing a TK-pistol requires that the target be in range, and a shooting roll). Devices capable of storing their own power are built using Glimmerstone and are thus much more expensive. All items capable of storing PP are assumed to have a maximum PP reserve of 5. These recharge at the rate of 1 per hour, just like normal. However, the wielder may also invest his own PP into the device to charge it. Items without a PP capacity require the user to invest his or her own PP into the device every time it is used. Characters without the Arcane Background edge are assumed to have PP equal to half their Spirit.
