About our Campaign

The world of Dungeons and Dragons is one of overgrown ruins, untamed wilderness, hidden realms, and savage frontiers. There is no rest for the living and even the dead have trouble finding peace. Safe havens for the civilized are few and far between and only the most brave, foolish and unlucky find themselves adventuring into the unknown.


Cue the Epic Voice…

In ancient days the gods waged war with each other to expand their domains. To do so they built mighty empires that sprawled across the land and raised armies to protect it’s borders. War raged on for decades before it came to it’s eventual end when the gods unleashed the height of their powers in efforts to destroy one another, scarring the planet’s surface, and taking a toll on it’s people. In the end the gods fell and with them so did civilization.

Thousands of years have since passed and darkness still enveloped the land. Without the shelter and protection of the gods, the descendants of those who survived the final battle lived in a very different world than that of their ancestors. Monstrous beasts populated the ruins of abandoned cities and temples, bandits and marauders stalked the land preying on the weak, and demonic cults gathered to serve vile creatures that rose from the abyss. In order to survive they found refuge in the wild and deep underground where they began to forge new worlds.

You are a descendant of those people. In the last few centuries they have begun to claim more of the overland as territories. Pushing back the wilderness and replacing it with civilization. Still these safe havens are but points of light in a world of darkness, and much of the world today remains a mystery.


The Heroes

  • Olivia; Tiefling Rogue. A noble’s daughter and wanted murderer from Vor Kragal.
  • Baldozaar Brahashmut II; Dragonborn Paladin. In search of the power to destroy all Vampires.
  • Delita Heiral; Dragonborn Warlock. Washes the pain of his brother’s blood on his hands away with alcohol.
  • Jakir; Ranger. Scarred refugee with a bloody past.
  • Sovelaar; Eladrin Fighter. Toughest looking bodyguard from the realms of the Two Queens.
  • Anaethaestra; Eladrin Wizard. The trouble finding daughter of a prominent wizard and Sovelaars cousin.

How it starts

Dragons, demons and devils ruled the surface world. Unknown horrors lurked in the night below. Yet the Nentir River valley has stood for centuries untouched by the darkness and suffering. It wasn’t until fifty years ago with the disappearance of Lord Gandraith Cithbaend, the champion of Nentir Valley and ruler of Fallcrest did grim tides of the future begin to wash over the verdant mountains and forests. Vampires, the undead creatures of ancient legends had begun to pour forth from the abandoned ruins of the cairnsgorn mountain. Gandraiths son Hothran gathered his fathers soldiers, the border guards of fallcrest and hunted down every last vampire within the valley and drove them back into the mountainous region from which they came. Since the first toutbreak the remaining vampires and undead monsters remained in the mountainous region. Hothran built a watchtower at the base of the pass into the cairnsgorn and it was rare when an undead creature would come out of that pass, even rarer would any living soul enter.
