The Journal Of Eldunari 8

April 13, 2012 12:13
I can’t see anything from the altitude I’m at because of all the dirt and debris that were uplifted from the crash of the stalactites hitting the tent .Though by the howl of pain the was ripped from the lungs of some poor unwary creature below I know I hit something the question is what? As the Debris clear a little I make out the shape of Drak and started the incantation required to lose the fury of the unrelenting sky even if we are still underground. From the view I have I see one drop after it gets out of the tent I guess they can’t wait to quench their bloodlust suddenly by Drak and a few other Kobolds a flash of glittering dust explodes in a miraculous display while Drak starts howling for his pet to come over. The next moments were utter chaos Shi No Kishu went Axe to Axe with Drak and was starting to win. To my surprise O’ Shamus turned up and started to help which is surprising because usually he’s too drunk to remember what his ale was and what his bombs are and ends up chugging a bomb by mistake (another reason I’m never allowed to the Flying Tiger ever again but that’s beside the point). Turns out Drak had a troll for a pet but despite its fearsome looks it wasn’t a threat at all due to it being burned by acid, tied up by magic rope, and blinded by magic. While my thunderbolts struck and Shi No Kishu struck out with her axe DerWoodinator wasted time and walked off to go sneak up on the troll. In the end I though Sathariel stole my thunder (get it) and killed Drak with a fearsome magic missile straight to the chest. The next few hours were a blur we killed Drak, felled the once fearsome Troll, O’ Shamus wandered off to god know where and then we looted the most we have ever looted and may ever loot. Upon divvying up the treasures I got a stick that explodes if I hit it just right (I shall call it MY BOOMSTICK) and everyone else also got cool gear. When we arrived topside we were shocked the city was quiet and I don’t mean classroom quiet or even church quiet I mean quiet in a way that makes your skin crawl and your heart beat way too loud. I quickly change shape and take to the skies to see what I can assess from the situation and I can’t believe it the city at the center of the world is deserted all trace of life gone. Part of the wall is crushed inward and the ground around it is completely bare of even plant life needing a place to stay I start to scope out the Dancing Bear and spot the one thing I wasn’t expecting a child elf by the looks of it I fly over and switch to human form to talk to the little girl. When everyone else gets there I get water and food for the girl as the start to find out what happened to Absalom while we were gone. According to the girl Demons swept in and started taking everyone away and to my horror the type of demon that did this was a familiar one with my past (curse you Flying Tiger) it was Pit Fiends.

YAY 1000 exp. pointsss

We clambered out of the tunnel (A/N “clambered” just came to me! im so good) after splitting the loot and were stunned. Everywhere was remains of destruction. It looked like one of the settings of the novels i like (A/N its true i love dystopian). It was deserted. There wasnt a soul in sight. It was eerily silent. Eldunari volunteered to shape shift into a bird and fly around to see if there was anybody left. After a few minutes of wandering around, Fenrir motioned with his head to follow him. I guess that means Eldunari found something.

Finally, we saw Eldunari in human form standing by a young girl. She was about six years old and was an elf. She was trembling and crying. We tried to ask her some questions but she was scared shitless and couldnt answer. I wouldnt mind keeping her. NOT AS A PET. More like…a niece. She could follow me around like a little duck <3>)

Your favorite bard's POV

April 10, 2012 15:17

im so lazy
-—————————————-
We navigated many tunnels until we found a particular one that would lead us to our destination. In this tunnel there were many kobalts and Maximillian. We defeated them, went across a bridge, and planned how we were going to kill Drac in this new cavern filled with an army. Then we executed our plan. Eldunari shape-shifted (jealous) and flew to the top of the cavern and prepared to send the ceiling on our enemy.
We were ready to kick some ass. Our enemy was close. Suddenly Satheriel accidently kicked a rock and woke up a tent of kobalts. We beat them into paste. Then we continued on and gave Eldunari the a-ok to drop the rocks. That harmed many and the remaining people came to see what happened. We started to beat them up-by “we” i mean Satherial, Eldunari, Fenrir, Shinukishu, and Derwoodinator-when Drac called out to his pet. I see we have similar interests. Only his pet was a humongous troll thing. We beat it naturally. I used my ropes to tie its feet together and bind its arms. I also made it sleep :).
At the end of the day our enemys were defeated and i was feeling pretty good.

The End

March 31, 2012 12:38

Hola, amigos. I haven’t posted much in a while, and since I’m bored, and since its spring break, and since I just woke up, and since I don’t feel like getting out of my wondrous bed, I’ll write an adventure log. I’ll start at the beginning (of our last session that is). Nick wrote a really badass adventure log last time, so I’ll attempt (in vain) to write a better one. Mind you, I just woke up…

So there we were, peeking out from behind boulders and stalagmites, waiting for chaos to erupt. We probably didn’t have to hide, though. Once those stalactites dropped from the ceiling, everything exploded into pandemonium immediately, shrouding us in dust and flying bodies. It was radical. Soon after Eldunari dropped the ceiling, small bodies started emerging from the tent. Kobolds started shouting for their ‘master’, asking if he was okay. We all froze in place as we heard a gruff voice exclaim, “I’m fine.” We smushed half the tent, but somehow managed to miss Drac. I looked up to the ceiling of the cavern and sent a silent string of profanities to whatever evil god decided this to be our fate.

A massive body emerged from the tent, reeking of something that smelled even worse than the sewers and towering over the small Kobold that attempted to help him. He swatted it away and started scanning around to find the source of his near death. I heard shouts and the padding of feet starting towards the wreckage, and I knew we had to act now.

I unsheathed my great axe (my baby) and stepped out from behind the boulder I was crouching behind, but stopped as Sathariel started muttering incantations. I knew I shouldn’t be in the way when he unleashed whatever spell he was conjuring up, but I grew antsy as I heard Drac growl, “Release my pet.” (He said something of the sort, something about a pet. Remember. I just woke up).

Sathariel uttered a final word and suddenly a shower of glittering dust rained upon Drac and the unfortunate fellow who stood next to him. I laughed; the thought of the mighty Drac being defeated by glitter amused me. After that, the fight began.

In a matter of seconds, many different things happened. I ran out, a red hue coating my vision, my strength increasing substantially, right towards the blinded, shimmering Drac. Something to my left let out a groaning roar, and multiple voices of my comrades started conjuring up a plan. I recognized that noise to be a troll, and I chuckled, thinking of all the things we could do to the poor beast in a matter of minutes.

Out of the corners of my eyes, I saw that Sora was running towards the troll, Nathaniel was still behind a rock, Eldunari’s wolf was still in hiding as well, Derwoodinator and Grubeck were sneaking their way around the tent and towards the troll, and some haggard-looking man was playing with what looked like a deadly poison bomb.

Focusing on Drac, I swung my axe at his head, missing slightly, but still ripping open his chest. He roared in pain, but still stood his ground, though blind. I heard the sound of swinging rope and glanced over at the massive brick wall that was the troll as it was immediately restrained with over a hundred feet of rope. Then, I saw that Sora was standing right behind Drac, and groaned. The sounds of wet explosions (rofl) and low screams came from the direction of the troll.

Even though I was in full rage-mode and I knew that we were a formidable force to be reckoned with, I still shuddered slightly in fear when I saw Drac smile and mutter a spell. His eyes opened slowly and he took out a dangerous looking great axe. He muttered a word that I guessed to be Draconian, and his axe abruptly burst into flames. My smile faded and I backed away just slightly. His axe swung towards my head but I dodged it easily.

The next few minutes were a blur. The troll was being bombarded by acidic bombs, axes, spells, rope, and glittering dust. There were screams of pain as Kobolds were easily slaughtered by my companions. The rogue snuck up behind the troll and surprised the poor beast with a sneak attack, bringing it down with a roar of pain. But it wasn’t over.

Drac and I attempted to land blows with our axes, neither of us landing a hit, and the Kobold standing near us was still blind, confused, and utterly stupid. Focusing too much on trying to kill this thing, I didn’t notice its stench, but I’m assuming others did, though I forget exactly whom. The final blow that took down Drac also escapes me, but when he finally dropped, we all let out a cheer (It might have been Sathariel; I know he did stuff…).

The poor Kobold was still shouting stuff about its master and how we would all pay. I stifled a laugh and sauntered over to it. Feeling a tiny bit of pity, I swung my axe at it and it dropped like a lead balloon. We all seemed to sigh in unison, relieved that no one died. I thought we were goners.

Okay. I’m tired. That killed about an hour, now I’m going to go eat a sandwich. Being that this session was like, 4 days ago, my memory wasn’t the best, and so if I missed something, I’m deeply sorry. Just say something and I’ll edit it in or whatever. Fair winds!

Journal of Sathariel: 3/7/12 Session

March 21, 2012 14:53

We began the descent toward the enemy outpost. Our group (sans Eldunari) slowly creeped closer & closer to the figures surrounding the campfire below.

Now, being born with magical blood has made my life very different than most’s. While others learned the mundane, I have become a master of the power that resides within me. But while I have the powers of the planes at my fingertips, sneaking up to an enemy fortification is not my forte.

Loud & proud.

We had gotten fairly close to the enemy before I had accidentally kicked a rock. It tumbled down the slight decline, and slowly came to a stop in the middle of the encampment, illuminated by the fire in the center of it.

Both parties froze. Nothing could be heard, except the crackle of the fire and the distant sounds of activity from the main encampment.

Then, the five figures around the campfire stood up, turned toward our general direction. At the same time, we all dove for something, anything to hide behind. I, unfortunately was caught out in the open, my only cover being those pesky small rocks.

Seeing me, one of them pointed into the darkness. They unsheathed their weapons.

Shinokishu leapt up, her fearsome greataxe at the ready, its’ bladed edges a rusty red color, from all of her previous foes. I saw a fire in her eyes, and knew that she was soon going to give in to her terrible rage. I held out my arms, blocking her path. “Hold.” I said. “Let me show them my art before you show them your own.”

I began to concentrate on the spell, the powerful conjuration magic welling up inside me. I looked intensely at the advancing group of enemies.

A brilliant cloud of blinding glitter appeared from out of the fire. It covered almost the entirety of the enemies, and two them started furiously rubbing at their eyes.

I turned to my compatriot. "I think they might have been dazzled. Go and get ’em.

The following melee was furious.

The whirling blades and the cries of the wounded were quite loud. I’m not sure how we weren’t noticed by anyone else.

I spent most of my time trying to keep my friends up. While our barbarians are terrifying, they’re also easily hit by any enemy that can keep it’s wits about them.

We barely held on, but we outlasted the enemy to earn our right to live, at least for the present time. The future was still uncertain.

The future was still dangerous.

Sorry for it being so bare bones description but sadly all I really did was drop some really big rocks on a Troglodyte so what I do know is from the perspective of Fenrir (GroundRunner) according to his memories Sathariel (MagicMan) slipped up when they were sneaking up on the camp leading to a huge fight in which Shi No Kishu (IronMaiden), DerWoodinator (BarrelBack), and Sathariel all took care of a few human Barbarians near the fringe of the encampment. When I got within sight of the Encampment Fenrir sent me a message from Sora (SingingLady) saying not to drop the rocks until they were in position near the “Drop Zone”. Of course Sora couldn’t actually tell Fenrir the message so she had Nathan (WolfMan) tell Fenrir the message. Anyway after their brief skirmish they arrived near the center and I dropped a set of stalactites on the fanciest tent in the camp. Now I must wait and see what happens. By the way SkyHigh is me Eldunari. As you can see this explanation is very short so to make it longer I added a little something for fun.
