Alright we are go for this Saturday, 12-4. Please try to be on time as this is our last game (supposedly). Here is a summary of the groundwork that you guys laid:
1. There are 5 merc groups who help keep the peace in Okeno. You killed the leader of the Scaled Serpent group and replaced him with someone allied with The Bellflower Network.
2.You also tried to pin the murder on another group, The Devil Maws.
3.You encountered a group of powerful adventurers who have a vendetta against the Pactmasters, who you learned are creatures called “mind flayers.” They will attack the Pactmaster base in concert with Operation Blitz.
4. You allied with a group of goodly priests of Cayden and Desna who swore to help you free slaves.
5. You commissioned the costly services of a powerful angel which will be summoned and teleported into Okeno to lead the fight.
Feel free to add anything that I missed. See you on Saturday!
You are each approached by a Major in the Eagle Knights. He is courteous but gets straight to the point. “Andoran thanks you for your service to freedom and justice. We’ve noted your sacrifices and struggles against those who would oppress and enslave, and we’ve also seen your desire to defend yourself and your country. We’re creating a deep cover unit- more secretive than the Falcons yet more disruptive than the Talons- and Andoran is recruiting only the best. Well the best and the most unknown. This group has orders to infiltrate and disrupt certain slaver organizations and groups that threaten our liberties. You will not be wearing our colors, badges, or passing out pamphlets. You will not need warrants or the permission of a politician in order to act. This assignment is about effectiveness and getting results fast. If you would fight for freedom, please go to this address in Souston, one week from today. I bid you farewell, and whatever you decide, keep this knowledge to yourself.”
Was roaming the lands at large and came aross your offerings. You put up a rather enjoyable read with some interesting ideas. I particularly like the “Wide, Wide World of Sports” take. One can almost hear Howard talking about the “thrill of vicotory and the agony of defeat” in your adventure logs. Thanks for sharing. Peace.
Also, your new characters should all be Eagle Knights of Andora. All of you should have some terrible past experiences with slavers. Think “Inglorious Bastards” of Andora.
Lootz!!
Potion of Shield of Faith, 1 St. Leather Animal Bane, Boots of Propulsion, Lense of +1 Dex and Perception, MW Comp. Longbow- +4 Str, 2 +1 Sabres, +1 Breastplate, Headband of Still Mind, +1 Cloak of Resistance, Amulet of Nat. Armor1, 1 Stud. Leather, MW Scimitar, Headband of Int2 (with perception). Mitch’s character I believe had 2 +1 Kukris.
A memo is delivered late one night to all the gladiators. It reads, "A new policy is being discussed that, if voted for, will come into effect after singles week. It has come to our attention that certain deals are being made outside of the fights that have unbalanced the match-ups- which are designed for maximum entertainment value. If passed, this policy will disallow the use of spellcasting before a fight has started. Once in the ring, anything goes. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Okeno Pits Manager,
Ibn Al Wanali
You do well in gathering info on the games. Many gladiators have signed up for the agility contest but the favorite is a civilian athlete named Victor Grimas. He is only a teenager but has already broken several records in 100-yard dash and long jumping. His critics say his training will count for little in The Pits yet he holds the best odds for a win. The contest of persuasion is shrouded in mystery. No one knows exactly what the challenge will be but last year it was a debate about business ethics. Sales were low then and word has it that management is throwing more resources into this challenge than any of the others combined. Still, very few have signed on to this one.
Ohndall- “Jangar was a great leader of a small town that was constantly threatened by an aggressive tribe of gnolls. He invented the games as a way of motivating and training his people, especially the young and inexperienced. The games are different every year- but Okeno has a proud legacy of making them particularly entertaining and deadly. I’ve only seen one, last year. The contest of agility? Last year it was a obstacle course. Jumping, evading, dashing. The winner was the one with the fastest time. I didn’t see the contest of persuasion”.
This is just the sort of publicity Morvius needs to make a name for himself! Morvius will talk to Ohndall immediately and get his take on these contests – specifically the contest of Agility and the contest of Persuasiveness (those are the two contests Morvius will sign up for). Morvius will also talk to other past contestants in the barracks (Diplomacy +8) about their experiences. He’d also like to eavesdrop on any betting going on so he can see who is favored to win which events. Morvius is especially interested in whom he is likely to have to compete against in his two events.
In that 12 days, Morvius also wants to befriend Alamor and Tommy.
Hey guys, let me know if you want to make any preparations or ask any questions in game about The Contests of Jangar. You’ll have 12 days before the games- out of game and in game.
A buzz fills the cafeteria when Ibn al Wanali grandly announces the “Contests of Jangar.” He proclaims, "The time has come again for our brave gladiators to take part in the Contests of Jangar. Only those who have never competed may enter. This year the games will be strength, agility, willpower, and persuasiveness. You may enter 2 of these. For each winner, a prize will be awarded. Remember: even though these trials are less dangerous then you are accustomed to, people are paying good money for this show. We expect excellent performances from all contestants. For those of you who took part in the Contests previously, you will be allowed to place bets.
Successful first game! Everyone levels to 2. Btw if I didn’t mention before, no traits. I will award traits through your accomplishments or your excellent role playing. Next game is looking like the 19th. Let me know who is in!
Just saw Real Steel in preparation for tomorrow’s game. I guess I should follow that up with Gladiator, the arena scene from Clone Wars, and whatever other crazy shit I can dig up!
Works for me. What is our expected run time? Matt tells me we’ll be playing at my place. If this is the case, I will send directions once I am home next week.

Hey Evan just wanted to give you a heads up on my character. I am gonna go with the serpent totem druid with a splash of monk for grapple feats. just wanted to make sure your cool with me running a menagerie druid, luckily I am mechanically predisposed to summoning snakes so I can have the stats made up for them on hand. the other issue is that I want to use the monk archetype from UC Tetori which is granted specific monk bonus feats, instead of being able to choose for himself. trouble is some of those feats don’t exist. the current official/unofficial errata suggestion is to allow bonus monk feats as normal.
let me know if there are any questions or concerns before I get into the heavy crunch.
Turns to the angel…
When Okeno is… ashes… You have my permission to die.

Evan, if you incorporate THIS into the game, I’m okay with being re-enslaved and taken back to Okeno.
Based upon our conversation last game, I thought you all might be amused by this.
begins composing a harmonica tune entitled “Slaver’s got the crushed head blues”
Play for blood. That’s just my game.

To Greg: Looks good to me.
I’m loving the idea of the Inglorious Basterds. Ok, this is mostly for Matt when he log on, but here’s how I see us distributing the loot.
Comsah
Morvius
Items to be Sold
Which would give us each 4,857 gp.
Let me know if you want to make any chages

I’m betting some or all of you have seen this already, but this Ask the Bastard is pretty funny.
Leaving the bag of chips open to go stale…not cool. :(
Who’s dick do I have to suck to make sure it does not pass?
Well hey it hasn’t passed yet…
hahaha sucks to be a caster that has to self buff…… oh wait I’m included in that.
Curses! Foiled again!

Nice! I really have to get that game.
No game Saturday? Now what the hell am I gonna do? Oh wait…SKYRIM!
A few days later Mr. Inkrin informs you that he has hired a street gang called “The Blackout Boys” to fight you. This will be a combat to the death.

Just a heads up. If we have a game on 11/12, I will not be able to make it. if Matt will be there, you guys can still use my house if you like.
Haha pat did you just reuse tramorn and name him cramorn?
Run time will be roughly 4 hours.
Works for me. What is our expected run time? Matt tells me we’ll be playing at my place. If this is the case, I will send directions once I am home next week.
sounds good to me.
Alright guys we are on for the 29th! Is 1pm a good start time for everyone?
That’s fine. Official start date is the 29th.
Ok, depending on the exact date, I may miss the first session. The first Saturday in October I am available is the 29th.
Yes its looking like mid October. It’ll be worth the wait!
Evan told me about a month last I spoke with him.
Do we have an estimated start date yet?
