Summary

Vuutharak, returning to pay his debt to Pox is asked to uncover the reason why “shipments” heading to the Waterynook are failing to deliver. A particularly valuable item was lost and it would be beneficial to return it. If they manage to stop the rats from dieing, Pox would be inclined to reward him for his services above and beyond his help returning the item. He explains how they transport the goods, and suggests that maybe the rats from a taxidermy shop called “Xobol’s Taxidermy Services” are “failing to live up to their end of the barged”. When the PC’s investigate Xobol’s, Urgl Browntooth the master taxidermist will send his assistant to aid in the investigation to show he is also egger to get to the bottom of it as well (“DRALL!”). Investigating the Waterynook reveals that Morgana is increasing displeased that the merchandise she ships on behalf of “other clients” is getting lost, and hitting her pocketbook in insurance payouts. Looking through the sewers (tracing a path that Drall knows) reveals the rats travel a careful path deep under the sewers as they cross into the Upper Docks. Looking further, they find the rats have been passing through part of the entrance of a Samreichian mine. A ghoul, created from the bodies of adventures who wonder too close, or perhaps too far away, has been guarding it, killing and eating the rats. Amongst the bodies they find a set of cheap lock picks, ~50 pp, a few daggers, a great sword, a bow. Amongst the rats, they find the mandibles of a bilibeth (demon).
