Educe the Brown and his Dark Tower are no more. His secret Soul Forge in the Abyss that allowed him to produce stone for the teleportation gates, and create his Minions! have been banished back whence they came. Now: on to the next mission…
Dragons of Destruction: Sonya has decided to begin moving against her Master – The Great Devourer. In order to defeat him she has decided that she requires the power of an even greater Lord of Destruction – Dokkaeon, the Dragon Lord of Annihilation! The first step to an introduction to Dokkaeon, who has no priesthood or mortal followers, is to request an audience with a known Dragon Lord. She has chosen Lord Rubicaeon, as his penchant for destruction is almost as great as the Dark Dragon Lord…
I am now seen by the gods as separate from The Destroyer. He is my father in all but name, and so that makes me the heir to his ambitions. I still desire the Daemon Throne of Abaddon, and will do whatever it takes to claim it! To that end I vote that we journey to the Dark Moon known as Encarda to find the source of The Devourer’s temporal power; failing that we need war funds – so lets hunt a dragon, or a witch or something…
This is now getting out of hand. The Alfar gods are now setting up a domino effect to take out the Devouer. I have my doubts that he will be so easily fooled. There’s also the fact that we can’t at least partially counter the effects of that electro-pulse effect he has. I do wonder thought, if the Dvergar and/or Nisse have something that could shield us from that affect, even if just partially. Also, while we do need overwhelming firepower, perhaps there’s a way to kill two Moha’s with one boulder. While I somewhat detest the method, we could try to get Khous’s soul back, and if we can get Khous to swear his soul to the 6 dragon lords, we have an additional edge when we navigate the realm of destruction. There’s aslo the possibility that Zel’s son may also have the information we need, and retreaving his soul would aid us greatly in the battle agianst the devourer, and possibly others as well.
I am in favor of going after Khous’s soul. Is Sonya a high enough representitive to negotiate with for the last tenth? If not i’ll put her in charge of the negotiation. After that I would go back to dragon hunting
I agree that Khous’s soul being recovered would be an asset. I should be able to negotiate with the Devourer for it, but I’m pretty sure he will want another soul in exchange. After that, helping Zel find his son’s soul to find out what happened to him could be a great asset in opposing the Devourer as well.
This is in allignment with my goals… If you are completely sure that you wish to do this, I can act as your guide on the journey to Abaddon. Be warned that this endeavor could be far more dangerous than it sounds. The Devourer will probably not deal with us in person over this issue, and that means dealing with his Archaeons. These beings are extentions of his hunger for all existence – We must be cautious.
Khous Control. In one week’s time I meet with Haimish. I hope to change the way this game is played. Haimish is arrogant, and as much as he may agree with the Absolutes’ plan, he will want to be the mastermind behind it. I plan on trying to work with him so that we can both eliminate the player that threatens our respective sides: The Devourer. Warlord, rest assured, you will have your place Abbadon, but may we can have a interim ruler before that :p
Looks like Khous Control this week. The journey will take you into the fabled depths of Abaddon, a dark barren world that has been a battlefield for the armies of Hell and The Abyss since time immemorial. During The Destroyer’s time the war went on unabated, but under The Devourer peace talks have been fostered between Lady Crucible and The Scourge by The Devourer’s agents – The Archaeons. The Archaeons are hungry for the essence of all beings in the multiverse, and will stop at nothing to consume all reality. The fact that they are acting as brokers of peace among the dark powers can onle reveal one ambition…
The game is afoot as Sherlock Holmes would say – and YOU are ‘The Game’. The Devourer is pissed in the way only a Divine Being can be, and he’s ready to dish out some wrath. Elite cadres of Archaeons have been dispatched to reclaim the souls of Khous and Author, who now belong to him by Divine Right. The Water Dragon King has fully restored you all, but can no longer provide Egress. Your Objectives, should you choose to accept them are: 1) Recover the Soul of Educe the Brown. 2) Escape from Abaddon via the River Styx. 3) Survive the Divine Wrath of The Devourer. He can’t take it out on Sapheraeon, but he can take it out on all of you… Lastly – Vote for next week’s mission; and keep in mind that you can delegate easier missions to your followers!
Oooh, He’s really pissed now! Shall we shove our thumbs up his @$$ for good measure? Oh wait, The Water Dragon King just DID!!! Odds are that he’s dispatched one of the four horsemen to deal with us. They are powerful beyond your imagining, and we will need to move quickly to escape his assault. We will know which horseman has been sent by the ruinous powers of his servants – War, Famine, Pestilence, or Death… I will lead us to Educe, but we must be ready to flee should the opposition prove too great. Looking forward: I feel that we need to undermine The Devourer’s temporal power: The Vortrix Saga, or Thats No Moon… Heh, maybe we can pick up Aeron while were at it, he an Author are even now right?
I am nervous with how the war is going on the Prime Material. The Devourerer is technically our ally in our war against the Absolutes, and with the loss of another Oracle I can’t help but feel that perhaps it is time we head to the Absolute Fortress. I may be able to persuade my ‘girls’ (Moezza and Jada) to temporarily return home to bolster the flagging morale of the Cloud Leopard’s while we gather military intelligence. The Cloud Leopards were endangered because of Author blabbing about their Oracle. Perhaps Khous can take up the reigns of the Cloud Leopards Oracledom? Sorry Ed & Warlord, but this has always been about the Absolutes, so its best we move against them and NOT continue to undermine the ally we’re asking to aid the weakest link in our alliance.
Garonimos has put together an emergency bank loan to the Cloud Leopards. It is dependent upon the good will of the Water Dragon king. Absent any other actions, the Cloud Leopards will be forced into the Devourer’s influence. With the return of Khous, and Devourer’s cowardly attempt on Prophet Penrose, Champion of the Water Dragon King, Hero of the Halfling Nation, and Count of Croaker Cavern, it seems likely he will want his considerable influence used in both the war effort, expand the glory of the water dragon king, and prevent the Devourer from profiting.
Khous, although a Snow Leopard, appears exactly like the dearly departed Cloud Leopard Oracle. Moezza and Jada are powerful natives of the region, even if Jada is outcast. Brining the Water Dragons to bear, being led by a Water Oracle, might be enough to hold the line…
Khous is important, however, we have a greater problem now. We have seen Vortrex return, and he sold his soul to the devourer for his revenge. This in turn makes him the devourer’s minion. He’s got the skill of assasins, the ability to move through earth like his elemental counterparts, and now has the power of Abbadon courseing through his veins. The devourer can, at a whim, have him elimenate us without much thought. As such, we need to conclude the Vortrex Saga soon. I know Zel wants to speak with him, but I’ll send Aeron to my dragon lord, Rubicon, before I allow him to even attempt to strike down our kin!
Makes knowledge religion check: We also have another issue. Author is marked by the devourer. This means that when he dies, he will go to the devourer upon death. This happened as soon as Vortrex killed him in Abbadon, since the divine law states that any mortal killed by another mortal on that plane is rightfully bound to that god. He can probably use this as either a bargining chip to get his way, or a beacon so he can send his Deamons to kill him. Undoing the Mark is going to be nessesary in the near future, unless you’re throwing him at the absolutes or the root as bait…
Author I’ve finished 2.0 i’ll email him out because i don’t seem to have access to the Khous page. Basically he is a diviner, healer, buffer. His weapon of choice is a steel bond book. If someone angers him he will through the book at them. He can use daily Augury and Scrying and also has a good deal of diplomatic skill. Will any of the other gods believe I died on Abbadon after coming back out alive? Also is Aeron still mortal at this point?. Khous has word of recall so we can send him off if need be but we all could also come to the cload leppard place.
GedofParagon: I have opened Khous and transferred him to kjm256’s name for rediting. Author: He was mortal when he kiled you, as he was resurected as an mortal Earth Elemental called an Oread by Khython; who then left him to his own devices. Yes, The Devourer can legitimately “cheat” the Law of Death and launch Archaeons to hunt you. The question is will he? So Far Voting looks like: Vortrix Saga 2, Thats no Moon… 1, Absolute Stronghold 1. Yes you can vote for more than one; but please don’t vote for more than three.
: I propose that Garonimos assembled the party’s henchmen to relieve the Cloud Forest an investigate the Absolute Stronghold while we make our way out of the Devourer’s domain. Moezza will return to the Cloud Forest to assume spiritual leadership of her tribe. NOTE: Perhaps Moezza and I can work to make sure one of our twins is born as a new oracle?
I would pledge Kenroar Malcraft to do some scouting for absolute bases, but I definetly want to work on the Vortrix saga. Khous has a valid concern about Aeron now being a puppet of the Devourer. Even if Zel is unable to participate, we can still find out what happened to his son for him, as well as try to free him from the Devourer. Maybe RANDOM and I can even over throw house Vortrix and gain some extra resources for the upcoming struggle against the Devourer as well as the Absolutes and the Root.
By the Elements! Saint Mani has requested that I return to Darkmoon! While I do not know the nature of the recall, I will return with news of what this is about. While I am away, you may wish to speak with my Lead Priest, sir Sarasism, or the Inferno Alchemist, sir Zwischen. Until we meet agian, I wish you the blessing of fortune on your travels, my friends.
