Teleportation technology is a technology that has existed for close to 600 years, however it is still considered in it’s infancy.

Vessels capable of producing large amounts of power can activate these devices to transport goods and people from one point to another using a directed matter stream. The application of this is thus some what restricted by range, power, and environmental conditions. Thus it is also easily blocked by any kind of barrier. While teleportation requires a vessel requiring a large amount of power to activate the device in the first place it also requires a specific kind of receiving platform that needs to be manned and operational to receive the incoming teleportation or the proper re-assembly of matter on the other side is impossible.

It is only used to transport actual people in the most calm of circumstances but it more commonly used to transport weight restrictive goods to and from ships in orbit.
