Six years ago, Rhaegar Targaryen slew Robert Baratheon on the banks of the Trident.
When the Baratheons and the Starks raised their banners in rebellion against Mad King Aerys, the Lord of Phoenix Rise defied his liege Jon Arryn and fought for the Targaryen cause. After being subdued in the field by the knights of the Vale, the faithful Crusaders of Phoenix Rise were forced to do battle against the Targaryen forces.
Their loyalty to the crown cost them a great deal of love and respect from their fellow Lords in the Mountains of the Moon, and nearly cost them the life of the young heir as well. Now that King Rhaegar has secured the peace of the realm through an alliance of marriage with the Starks of Winterfell, there are no more enemies left to conquer.
The nobles of Westeros are now free to pit themselves against one another, using both intrigue and the sword.

Faith and Steel is a tabletop roleplaying campaign using the Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying system, published by Green Ronin. The campaign uses an alternate history for the world of Westeros. Highlights include the death of Robert Baratheon on the bank of the Trident at the hands of Rhaegar Targaryen, the banishment of Jaime Lannister for the crime of regicide, and the political marriage of Cersei Lannister to Stannis Baratheon.
