Part II
You enjoyed a nice 3 course dinner at the manor. Here you kept close track of who ate what as you rightly suspected the Venison to be poisoned. After dinner barely talked to Lord Aschaffenberg untill he passed out on the bed. The party did not waste time in that you moved on to look into the suspicious librarian and uncovered one or two profane books in the library. Meanwhile durring a card game, Rupert charmed the young Servant Girl Hanna Draist, they sneaked off together to the wineceller, where they shared a good wine and eachother.. extensivly.
Your party uncovered the nature of the Schlaf poisoning, where it was grown and how it had been applied to the venison. You also had a good talk with the hunter and learned he had been feeding his 3 dogs beastmen flesh in order to get an appetite for the beasts.
Finally late at night you discovered a secret passage from the wine cellar to a hidden temple where Todd was being sacrificed.
In the mist of feirce battle between cultists, attacking beastment and the manor staff, you persued the cultists to the roof where Pierce (yes the butler did it), summoned a demon. In killing pierce just before all was lost, you managed to drive off the demon and end the reign of the Cult of the Unblinking Eye.
The manor had suffered heavy casualties, but with the death of the Wargor leader, the beastmen retreated as well. When all are accounted for, Lord Aschaffenberg lost all of his guards and most servants, who were either killed or exposed as cultists. The hunter Olver and Sonja the blind nurse survived the battle. Both Pierce, The doctor and the Librarian were exposed as cultists and killed in the fight. Only Hanna, was unaccounted for by the end of the day. It is assumed she either fled or was taken by beastmen.
Lord Aschaffenberg is gratefull for your help. Despite loss of staff and considerable damage to his property, he pays each of you 10 Silver for your work. He does apologize profusely for not being able to offer more but assure you, you have earned his gratitude.
He also write a letter of reccomendation which may help you with some noble families in terms of getting employment, especially in Ubersreick and Aldorf.
Herr Hendrick take you to Ubersreick, and arrange for a coach for you to Aldorf, here you have an good friend who is just about to complete his basic training from the collage of magic.
