Zelazny, Roger – The Great Book of Amber: The Complete Amber Chronicles, 1-10 – Not much to do with Midhgardhur, really, but the concepts of Law and Chaos, of the Pattern and the Logrus, and the special heroic qualities of the royal house of Amber are great inspirations for writing swords-and-sorcery stuff . . . Anyway, this series is one of the great sources of the “Law vs. Chaos” alignment system that was so prevalent in the original D&D, “Basic D&D,” and now in Dungeon Crawl Classics . . .
