Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom is the focal point of Martinez Manor and the location of many a fancy-dress shindig. With the quarantine in effect, guests of the magistrate are now more like hostages than anything else, and there’s little else to do but dine, drink, and dance while the disease rages beyond the walled terraces of the circular ballroom.
A number of guests of the Magistrate have installed themselves as permanent fixtures at the bar, including Eddie Gong, Lorenzo Fox, and, more often than he’d like to admit, Doctor Travis Park.
The atmosphere is tense and just shy of hysterical, with strung-out aristocrats and overtired wait staff struggling to put a happy face on a sad situation. Nobody wants to be the one to tell the Magistrate that the party’s over.
