The Boiler
The Boiler is a terraforming station located beneath a glacial ice shelf at Seventh Circle’s northern magnetic pole.
The Boiler’s primary function is to accelerate the melting of the glacier, facilitating the release of greenhouse gases into Seventh Circle’s thin atmosphere. The terraforming station is connected to a number of active geothermal and volcanic sites far below the surface of the glacier, and through the drilling of a number of enormous vents is channeling the heat into the frozen expanse, effectively “boiling off” the ice at a carefully monitored, consistent rate.
The Boiler is roundly considered to be the worst posting on Seventh Circle, which is saying something.
