The heroes were hired by Snow White to escort her to the planet Alphenore where she was to meet with a contact.

Upon arrival, her meeting with Gemini went as planned. Afterward, however, a massive object appeared in high orbit over the planet.

The object turned out to be an alien ship nearly 77 km in diameter. It launched hundreds of smaller picket ships and began destroying random targets on the planets surface.

Snow White let slip that she had been expecting the alien attack. When the heroes confronted her. When confronted, she confessed that her mission was to thwart the attack in a manner that would not implicate her Irrothlyrr masters.

During their escape from the planet’s surface, the party successfully infiltrated one of the alien picket ships. The ship appeared to be devoid of crew until the heroes found the command center. The heroes then assassinated the ships’ navigator, instigating a skirmish that ended in the destruction of four alien picket ships and the heroes’ escape from planetary orbit.

After the skirmish, the heroes managed to rendezvous with, Cobalt, a second contact of Snow White’s. Cobalt assembled the parts she was carrying into a device that would disrupt the alien ships’ communications and sensors.

The heroes disabled the mother ship, allowing the Alphenore government to destroy it with a flight of ICBMs. With the mother ship destroyed, the picket vessels were quickly mopped up by the planetary military, though a few made successful suicide runs to crash-land on the planet’s surface.

Unfortunately the tale does not end happily. A quick survey of the crash sites reveals that the alien ships released a cocktail of biological weapons on impact, including a vast array of retroviruses. A quick and dirty quarantine was established and it appears as though the planets’ human population is no-longer in any direct peril, but there’s no telling how far the retroviruses have circulated through the planets’ native ecosystem.
