Witchers are a species of Mutant, who are specially trained to fighting monsters. They were created as part of a experiment with mutagens in an effort to try to make regions civilized enough so the normal development of nations could occur. Witchers are absurdly hard to create, apart from having to be at the peak of their mental, physical, and emotional health when they experiment start, they must also undergo the trail of Grasses, an exposure to mutatents in which 1 out of three die. Those who emerge however, are able to survive exposure to mutagens, heal far faster than normal, increased strength, consitution, and dexterity, as well as being able to have mastery over basic signs.
