Imperiums

Not very politically minded, House Partine has traditionally been concerned with the deposits of coal and silver which are found in great quantities under there lands. The House was originally granted title and lands in the Blackspire Mountains due to the heroics of Citus Partine in the Phoetian War. Emperor Celiphas Adronicus Phoecius Galbodon Granted this reward due to Citus’ bravery as a messenger. Citus was the only member of the messenger brigade able to break through Elven lines and get word to Lord of the Blade Brion Karth concerning flanking maneuvers the elves where attempting. Citus’ was mortally wounded in the process but due to his actions the Battle of the Three Woods was won by the Empire.

Citus was given some fairly worthless land in the far eastern edge of the empire as reward for his service. Though the land was thought worthless, it was land and title so the Partine family accepted it happily. Citus did not survive the journey to his new lands.

Fifty years after being granted the lands Lord Korkin Partine happened into some caves during a hunting trip and found coal deposits within. Soon large deposits of coal and silver were unearthed and House Partine suddenly found itself with wealth. With its new found wealth House Partine entered into several contracts with House Pace in order to protect their lands and have since entered into the realms of the Neuvo Wealthy.

House Partine is looked down upon by many of the other houses as the Lords and Ladys of the House are only motivated in the appearance of wealth and power without ever attaining either truly.
