So, no sooner than we get out and do a bit of scouting do we realize that we’re in a druid grove. Bad business, that. I’ve no desire to get on the bad side of a blackclad. Not worth it. No money in it. So, what happens? Why, we immediately piss off the forces of nature and wake up some kind of big stone guardian thing that damn near knocks Elder Ellsworth into Urcaen. How the hell he lived through that I’ll never bloody know. I’ve seen men take less than that and never make to walk again.
The lads finally got the thing down, though. Crazy bastards blew it up, climbed up on it, stabbed it, shot it, all sorts a things. Finally got it down. There were these pig men, too, but they didn’t last too long…cause that damned gobber woman blew the lot straight to hell, along with our primary means of conveyance. I…I have no idea why. I’ve read her dossier, I guess that’s pretty standard behavior for her…but she’ll be useful. Just remember that she’s got a talent, but she’s got her quirks. Just keep calm, carry on. Make the objective.
Sos we travel on until nightfall, spot a small farming town, and after coming up with a few different plans, we decide to head on in. Long story short, Biggun and Biggin wreck up a farmhouse for us to overnight in, Lancer pisses off the guard, and then the whole lot of Kill Team go in and murder the lot with but one shot being fired. Not even a good shot.
Now…as to whether or not those townsfolk heard that one shot…well, we’ll find out next time, won’t we?
