Description
Set in a "alternate" world where magic is real, but only a few actually believe in it; it's a tale told by irascible wizards, who regularly give the magical establishment indigestion — and the police, the same. Take your Average Joe Underdog Action Star, and toss in some spellcraft. The world is getting weirder. Darker every single day. Things are spinning around faster and faster, and threatening to go completely awry. Falcons and falconers. The center cannot hold. But in our corner of the country, we're just trying to nail things down. ... We don't want to live in a world where the strong rule and the weak cower. We'd rather make a place where things are a little quieter. Where trolls stay the hell under their bridges, and where elves don't come swooping out to snatch children from their cradles. Where vampires respect the limits, and where the faeries mind their p's and q's. When things get strange, when what goes bump in the night flicks on the lights, when no one else can help you, give us a call.

Held Hostage

April 28, 2008 03:45

A black van smashes into the side of Cameron Amadis’s car sending the vehicles crashing into a small grove of trees just off the highway. The steep embankment prevents any one passing by from seeing the crash site. The car flips over twice before coming to a halt on its hood. The accident knocks Cameron Amadis unconscious and they rest of the Junior Wardens scrambled from the car. Two men with pistols hop out of the black van, lying on its side a few yards from the LTD, and make their way towards the car.

Half Hour

April 21, 2008 00:00

Cameron Amadis, Anson Von Camp, Peter Benlow and William O’Connor are summoned to a small local coffee shop in Hampton, Virginia by Patrick Christensen. Patrick Christensen has received orders from The White Council regarding the newly formed Junior Warden team. Patrick Christensen reads the letter from the Commander of the Wardens out loud to the group and offers any more information before they take off. Regrettably, Patrick Christensen doesn’t have any more information that he’s able to freely give the group at this moment but he manages to let slip some rumor and conjecture about the case. As the team depart from the coffee shop, Patrick Christensen mentions to William O’Connor that he should “Kiss his girlfriend goodbye.” and to also “Sort out that whole having a girlfriend issue.”

Warden Christensen -

Your repeated requests for assistance have been heard by the Council and are still pending consideration. You’re newly established unit is to not, in any fashion, be used to accomplish the greater goals you have for the Hampton Roads region.

In the mean time, the Council has evaluated the backgrounds and qualifications of your team. We have enclosed the following assignment for their immediate attention. Also enclosed are your current orders, you will not be accompanying your new team on this assignment.

Christensen’s Team: An Council asset has been stolen by agents of the Red Court. The asset is being held in Camden, North Carolina : approximately an hour and a half from your current location. The intentions of the Court are currently unknown. You are to travel south to Camden, investigate the Court and attempt to determine their reasoning for targeting our asset. If deemed pertinent you are to retrieve and secure the asset.

To the North American Regional Commanders

Regional Commander -

The war has spread resources thin. It is time to instate Operation GutterSnipe. You are now authorized to create bands containing formidable resources of non-council recognized entities into a cohesive fighting force. Use only trusted resources of a non-volatile nature to form these new units. Pass this message down to the Wardens under your command and begin recruitment immediately. Report in on team structure as soon as a new team is formed, orders will follow shortly after.

This new division of sub-wardens will be dubbed Junior Wardens and receive the same blanket protection offered to all under entities the umbrella of the White Council. The Council will also hear personal requests for compensation once these troubled times have passed.

Donald Morgan, Commander
Anastacia Luccio, Captain
Arthur Langtry, Merlin
