Cameron Amadis, Anson Von Camp, Peter Benlow and William O’Connor are summoned to a small local coffee shop in Hampton, Virginia by Patrick Christensen. Patrick Christensen has received orders from The White Council regarding the newly formed Junior Warden team. Patrick Christensen reads the letter from the Commander of the Wardens out loud to the group and offers any more information before they take off. Regrettably, Patrick Christensen doesn’t have any more information that he’s able to freely give the group at this moment but he manages to let slip some rumor and conjecture about the case. As the team depart from the coffee shop, Patrick Christensen mentions to William O’Connor that he should “Kiss his girlfriend goodbye.” and to also “Sort out that whole having a girlfriend issue.”

The team break and discuss matters with a few contacts before returning home to gather up supplies. About an hour later every meets at Cameron Amadis’s apartment complex and pile into his beat up old Ford LTD. The dive goes smoothly for around a half-hour with the team bantering and bickering amongst themselves. Soon the reach the Virginia / North Carolina border and the toll booths begin. The first couple go as expected but then something strange happens.

The young man in the toll booth examines the car and asks, “Are you Christensen’s men?”.
Cameron Amadis replies, “Maybe…” and the tool booth kid says that, “This is a yes or no type question.”
Cameron Amadis agrees that they are Christensen’s men and the kid waves them forward without payment.

Feeling odd, Peter Benlow calls Patrick Christensen and asks if he knows anyone who works a toll booth. Patrick Christensen suggest that the Red Court likely have lookouts for anyone on their trail and the conversation ends. Discussion about weaponry begins and soon the team find themselves approaching the exit off of Highway 168 East and on to Highway 34 South. As Cameron Amadis navigates onto the off ramp, he notices a full sized black van coming the wrong way up the ramp.

Cameron Amadis has no options, ditches to either side and a van flying up the on-ramp. A moment later the van slams into the old LTD and the two vehicles tumble off the ramp and into the ditch…
