_ I write you tonight from the safety of my tent just outside of an old mill that is now burned down just past Hearthglen. Do not worry, but do not write me back this way though; the town is now in burned ash and smolders of ice. Before I could settle in to rest, the night was attacked by a couple of fighting dragons._
_ I’ve found myself with unlikely yet charming company. Some of the survivors were other adventurers and am now going with them to the Kilat Empire, alone with a string of other survivors._
_ Maveryck, do you remember how you use to love pirates and asked me about them all the time? Well, I’m happy to tell you I’ve met one. If I can, I’ll try to ask her some of the questions that you have wondered about them before. If possible, I’ll even try to send you back a pirate toy of some sort. This one in the meantime is a very nice lady pirate with a nice dress and she is a very smart shooter with her pistols. I’ll try to send you a picture back of what she uses, too. She was able to shoot three bad guys if not more out of a two-story window tonight! You would not believe it!_
_ Monica, I’ve met another elf. This one is very nice, and he enjoys using magic. He has an eyepatch and is very quick with his weapon when helping the people that need his help._
_ Syrip,dear. I know you must be upset of what I’ve written so far. I hope you’ll find piece of mind in knowing that I have also in my company a very watchful and mindful man that, though he has a lot of pain on his heart, he does what he can to help others. I’ll be alright in his charge I think for the time being. Please remember to mind the children’s bed time and make sure that they are taken care of while you are at the shop. Myria is getting better at her math and would do good to start being your little accountant now and again at the store._
