Northrun is a small town on the banks of the Fler River. Like most small towns in Shendenflar, Northrun was built for a specific purpose. During the early days of the Kingdom before it had declared it’s independence from the Great Kingdom Shendenflar needed lumber. Both to build with and to export for the profit of the Overking. The vast Burneal Forest provided a seemingly endless supply of high quality wood that would need to be processed in order to be used. Northrun sprang up as a natural location for this processing. A village at first with only a huge sawmill complex and a few rough structures, Northrun grew over the years to what it is now. The sawmill complex dominates the Northern bank of the Fler river with a large dock to facilitate the loading and unloading of boats travelling from the Burneal Forest and to the City of Riverhewn. Northrun’s population stands at about 200 with the majority of residents working at the sawmill.
