Character Creation Information

All material created by Paizo and published in a book is allowed. Nothing said on a website or forum outside of an official errata matters and won’t even be considered for precedent. You must respect all limiting factors such as region locked feats and traits as well as contradictory traits.

If not an option is not mentioned below, follow the rules listed in the core book for character creation by default.

Step 1 – Determining Ability Scores

All characters receive 25 points to spend using the point buy method.

Step 2 – Pick your Race

Any Core or Featured Races from the Advanced Race Guide. Their variants are also allowed. Race creation is not allowed.

Step 3 – Pick your Class

Any class or variant from official Pathfinder printed material is allowed.

Step 4 – Pick Skills and Select Feats

Any feat from any official Pathfinder printed material is allowed.

Step 5 – Buy Equipment

Any equipment from any official Pathfinder printed material is allowed.

Step 6 – Finishing Touches

Every character gets to choose a Campaign Trait from the Kingmaker Player’s Guide. Once chosen, they may select one other Trait from any official Pathfinder printed material.

All characters must not be evil. Some form of good is suggested but not mandatory.

Every character starts with 1 Hero Point and gain 1 when they level up, up to a maximum of 3.
