November 04, 2011 00:50

The party returns safely to Fel-Tide and the wounded are dipped into Kolto tanks. Medical staff leak information about the Czerka attack and protesting greatly increases. The party is summoned to the Elder Tower to meet with Fel-Tide Elder Thosscon Farthen. The protestors cheer at their arrival.

Elder Farthen expresses his sorrow at the harm they sustained. Attending the meeting via holo is Czerka Sector Viceroy Ebb Vang. Vang gives his apologizes and explains that Delta Harvest had suffered several sabotage attempts of late and the security teams were on edge. Station Security Chief Iraz Grainer will be conducting a full investigation. Kip questions Vang regarding the sonic blast and the chance that a terranquake just happened to occur where the harvest station was located. Vang denies any wrongdoing. Senator Duna requests a tour of the Delta station. Vang agrees, but says it will take a few days to get proper authorization.

Elder Farthen makes a holo-broadcast to the city stating that the situation has been settled; all will go back to normal now. When the party is leaving the crowd of protestors outside turns into a mob and riots. Kip has to use all of his Jedi training not to become influenced by the strong emotions of hate and fear. Senator Duna tries to talk down the mob, but the hate is too much. The Jedi get the senators to safety. Unfortunately hundreds are injured and even killed before the riots across the city die down.

They return to the Gilto residence to ride out the storm of violence. Corraun becomes increasingly concerned about Kip’s state of mind and emotional out bursts. Bendak arrives and tells the party he is a member of an ant-Anselmi gang called the Cotos. His group for some time has believed Czerka has been using a sonic disruptor to cause mini-quakes to unearth the quartz. Bendak proudly admits to attacking the Delta station previously, but never getting passed security. After hearing Kip’s tale Bendak is convinced and asks his brother to join him and his people to take down the harvester. Kip agrees, but Corraun and the other’s insist on waiting for diplomacy. Back at the hotel Kip and Corraun argue about over stepping bounds as peacekeepers. Kip says several negative things about the Jedi Council.

Later that night, Bendak kidnaps Senator Cana and Zanna Nexlone. The two victims awake aboard the Delta station just in time to be captured and questioned. The next morning Shae Kerlin a young member of the Cotos report to Kip and Corraun what they have done. Bendak’s plan was to take the senator inside the Delta station so she can see for herself that they are breaking the law, then Bendak will blow up the sonic disruptor. As the Jedi and Tyan are sneaking on board the station the captives are being question by Anselmi Security Chief Iraz Grainer.

During the questioning it’s obvious that Chief Grainer has a deep hatred for Nautolans. Coto members Darin Mald and Adnee Veka are killed in cold blood during the questioning. Iraz admits that Czerka installed a proto-type sonic disruptor to increase the harvesting to show a larger profit this quarter, but Iraz has a bigger use for it. For the last two months he has had scientists identifying fault lines. Looking for any large enough that if triggered it would destroy the shelf that Fel-Tide is sits upon. Now he has finally found it and the Delta station is en route to Fel-Tide. When Iraz gives the order to kill them all including Eva, before leaving the room. A moment later Zanna makes her move.

She flips back her chair breaking her bonds and pulling her shoulder lose in the process buying a few more precious seconds of life. Another Coto member Kael Laster is killed just before Kip and Corraun burst in and kill the guards. Eva tells them of the plan to destroy Fel-Tide. The party along with Giles Lo and Bendak head towards the sonic disruptor control room, before it’s too late. A large squad of security guards heeds their progress. Once the security team is defeated Zanna begins slicing the lock on the blast doors, unfortunately giving Iraz several minutes to prepare a proper defense.
