Day 14 of the Month of Horse year 1118

Good greeting to the Blacksmith Tsi. This letter comes from the one Crab bushi you met but one month ago, whose hammer you made trade for in order to see what my path would be. In the month it has been…although it may not surprise you, and probably annoy you, beyond the tending and upkeep up my blades, I have not used them. They stay sheathed at my side, or strapped upon my back, as symbols of who and what I am. My fists though…have seen many battles, and have saved many of my comrades. If not for my martial arts, two of my allies would certainly be dead. It was then when I saved their lives that I knew this would be my path. These claws desire to strike at my foes, and my armor beckons to stand between my enemies and my fellow bushi, unfaltering. You asked of me a letter to tell you of my choice and I can whole-heartedly say that I choose my hands as my Way. I will learn the martial arts of this empire, and I will one day unite them in one unique style, that not just one clan learns, but an art that all may learn.
