The Order of the Chalice
The Order of the Chalice
This Order said to have died out when at the beginning of the wars against the Gith invasion. Soon after it is believed that the god Aoular [Oh-Lar] fell into insanity and disappeared from the world, without his leadership the people of the world eventually lost faith in the rest the old world gods.
Today The Order of the Chalice is nothing more than children’s stories. Used to build morals and spark imagination in the young. Very rare is it that any item, artifact, or relic is found that actually can be tied to the Order of the Chalice.
• Never lay down arms
• Seek out truth
• When called upon, defend the rights of the weak and helpless with all one’s strength
• Never fight amongst others in the Order
• Practice religion diligently
• Grant hospitality to anyone, each according to their ability
• Whether in honor or disgrace, speak in truths
• Ask not for rewards, the action is your reward
• Never refuse a challenge from an equal
• Never turn your back upon a foe
• To eschew unfairness, meanness, and deceit
• To always persevere until the end, even when all may seem lost
These are the codes that the Order lived by and followed.
Stories tell of a secret invisible castle by which the order held meetings. It was said that each member of the order Male or Female always felt as brothers and sisters and never held romantic views of each other. Their travels were well spoken and in their time all would grant them the same courtesy that they knew the knight would grant them. Beyond their deeds to make the world a better place, they were also avid hunters of relics, and artifacts. It is said that at one time 3 of the twelve swords of power were held by the King of Anora; one of the last members of the Order of the Chalice.
