Hodur
Hodur is the brother of Balder. He is known as ‘the blind’, and is the god of scholars. It is said his studies have left him blind, as happens to many scholars. Hodur is said to gift the most gifted of scholars with his great wisdom, and keeps nothing for himself.

Council of the Gods
Hodur is a member of the council of the gods formed by Odin in 622 PI. Since about 400 PI there have been divisions among the Council, although Hosdur is increasingly absent.
