Recently, Cormyrian patrols from New Hluthvar have come upon tell-tale signs of giants raiding the lands in the Far Hills. These marauding bands have seemingly consisted of mixed groups of hill giants, stone giants, frost giants, and fire giants, as well as ogres and other monsters allied with the giants. To say the least, it is grave news indeed that these giants have banded together to wreak havoc against the civilized lands of the Northern Sunset Vale.

The Hammerfist Dwarves of the Northern Sunset Mountains have also been plagued by the giants’ raids. Recently, several dwarves have been captured while on routine patrol along the Far Trail. Dwarven rangers have confirmed that giants were in the area where the dwarves were captured.

Determined to repel the invaders, Onrion (Major) Onfel Dhardra, the man in charge of the Purple Dragon soldiers in New Hluthvar and Clanlord Farsten Hammerfist have begun hiring brave adventuring parties to help with the situation. Unfortunately, the first few groups didn’t fare so well. Some were crushed beneath the boulders and jackboots of rampaging giants, while others went into the wilderness and never returned.

Now, it is hoped that a new band of adventurers can be assembled to punish the marauding giants and banish them from the civilized lands once and for all!
