Mongo’s journal…
Entry 1:
We are now hiding in the basement of the manor house we believe to be the residence of High Wyrmlord Azarak. We’ve arrived through the sewers and currently believe our presence to be undetected. We are now formulating a plan to lure some of the main floors occupants to the stone interrigation chamber we now inhabit. Hopefully this will allow us to thin our enemies ranks before ascending the stairwell. This is definitely a better plan than scaling the manor walls, and attacking a small army! Who’s harebrained idea was that anyway? Thank Moradin I decided to pull the plug on that suicide mission, not that I couldn’t handle it, I just worry about the others.
Entry 2:
The plan worked very well. We were forced to fight our way out of the interrogation chamber below, and have now made it upstairs. The main floor of the manor is now covered in the blood of our enemy. Dead bodies of both men, and dragonborn, are now strewn about in our wake. It’s an impressive sight indeed. Now currently searching the premisis for anything of value, or perhaps clues to what the future may hold regarding the war. Robyn continues to keep to the shadows, heck half the time I don’t even know where that half-breed is. Neither does the enemy though, and that often proves to be a deadly oversight.
Entry 3:
Discovered a circular chamber on the main floor in which strange shadows dance upon the walls. Fin has now begun praying to Bahamut for guidance. Hope to find answers to what this strange phenomenon might mean, but Fin’s prayers go unanswered. Apparently Fin senses some sort of stronge interference, and Altain senses it too…
Entry 4:
We now prepare to climb the nearby stairwell to the second floor. A strange thunderstorm now rages outside, and thunder shakes the building’s foundation, while lightning lights up the darkened sky – but still no rain?… Day appears as night, and one can’t help but feel something ominous is taking place.
Entry 5:
Once upstairs, it quickly became apparent that our presence had been expected, as elite dragonborn guards stood at the ready in plain sight. Not surprising I guess after what took place on the main floor. But what was note worthy was how the enemy seemed to have little or no interest on setting up some sort of ambush!? Overconfident idiots, typical cult, nothing but a bunch of crazy zealots. I know one thing – it’ll be their last mistake!
